one week to go before we start. i'm feeling excited about beginning; anxious to get underway. i've been looking at the newsgroup reader since i finally got it to work (thanks larry and jeff). it appears that i am not the only one ready to go.

pepperdine e-mail finally set up properly. i received the books i ordered for fall, and began reading "don't make me think". it seems to be be just good common sense design stuff, but there are some things that i hadn't thought of, so it has been instructive. i am pleasantly surprised that the book is so good. from the build-up that the ealier cadres gave us, you would think that we were in for two years of dreary reading. i guess that there is still time...
